Fall Bible History Class

What do you know about the Old Testament? How did the Bible get put together? How is it divided? How many books are there? Who wrote the Old Testament? Was it Moses? When was it written? Why are there two Creation stories in Genesis? Where did the stories take place? Did God really have people killed? These are just a few of the questions regarding the history and background of the Old Testament that Rick Johnson will explore with you in this Bible History class.

The class will be held on Monday nights from 7-8:30pm in the Rose Room from September 9th to November 4th with no class on October 14th. Through general discussion, readings, lecture notes, maps, class member participation, and videos, we will look at how the Old Testament was formed, and we will begin with Genesis chapters 1-4. This class is for anyone interested in learning about the Old Testament regardless of previous knowledge or experience with the topic. Be sure to bring your Bibles.

Sign up online or at the welcome desk. We will limit to 12 participants, so sign up now!
