In a continuing effort to keep the congregation informed on affordable housing issues, your Beacon Housing Committee would like to share information on the upcoming Homeless Memorial March and Service on December 12th, 2024.
Homeless Memorial March and Service
Both at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis (Across the street from Beacon’s Lydia apartments)
For 40 years, hundreds of community members have come together for the Homeless Memorial March and Service to remember people who died while experiencing homelessness, who were previously homeless, or who were advocates. It is a solemn night of remembrance in community. We hold vigil in a silent march, gather to read every name and light a candle for each one, and share memories with each other. Join the event on the evening of Thursday, December 12th at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis (Across the street from Beacon’s Lydia apartments). The march will begin at 5pm and the vigil will be at 6pm.
