Bobby is a graduate of Luther College (B.A. in Music and Bowling Green State University (M. M. in Orchestral Conducting). He has found success as a conductor across the US, conducting orchestras, choirs, new music groups and wind ensembles. Recent conducting work includes all or parts of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Ravel’s Le tombeau de Couperin, Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody No. 1, and Brahms’ Symphony No. 4. Robert is also a sought-after collaborative pianist and voice coach, collaborating with various solo artists and ensembles. Recent performances include Hindemith’s Sonata for Viola and Piano, Op.11 No. 4, Chaminade’s Trio No. 1, Britten’s The Holy Sonnets of John Donne, and Schumann’s Liederkreis. He has also worked as a church music director and organist throughout the Midwest, and has performed major works on the organ by Bach, Mendelssoh, Franck, Vieme, and Dupré, and others.
